Founded in 1988, as a NATO Science for Stability Project, VLSI Design Group is carrying out its design and research activities in many fields of VLSI design, which is a novel technology in Turkey.
UZAY VLSI Design Group is a member of the EUROPRACTICE organization, which brings together several research centers dealing with ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) design over Europe. Through Europractice, BILTEN VLSI Design Group has access to worldwide used CAD Tools for research purposes and newest sub-micron silicon technologies for IC prototyping.

- To combine system and circuit design experience in order to acquire "System-On-Chip" (SoC) design capability
