Capital Markets Board Of Turkey and Istanbul Stock Exchange Public Disclosure Project
Public Disclosure Project (PDP) is a digital data collection and dissemination system that aims to collect and publicly disclose financial statements, balance sheets, material events and other notifications of companies traded on capital markets and all brokerage houses which are required to do so by their own legislation, legislations of Capital Markets Board Of Turkey and Istanbul Stock Exchange . In this project, it is aimed to replace current manual dissemination system which is based on paper, fax and diskette and disseminate all related information securely over the internet by using digital signature technology in real time.
Central Registry Agency (CRA) Information Security Project
As part of this project a system has been developed which prevents the Financial Intermediaries from making any transactions without any knowledge of the investors. For this purpose, for dematerialized system transaction to take place; a reference number is requested from the financial intermediary in addition to transaction information. The reference number which can be confirmed by the CRA is generated by investors and submitted to financial intermediaries. UZAY has implemented a secure method which enables investors to generate reference numbers and CRA to confirm generated numbers, and developed software which can run on cellular phones and PDA instruments.
Turkish Ministry of Finance Electronic Data Transfer Project
- According Turkish Law, all companies need to keep their financial records on paper. For big companies, this requirement result in need for large amounts of space and burden to keep all these documents. Ministry of Finance planned to receive these documents in electronic format in order to both reduce the paper burden on companies and to be able to audit them more easily. Financial documents of companies are planned transferred to the ministry on a monthly or quarterly basis.
- Project involved development of an electronic data transfer standard for all kinds of financial documents required and software testing the data. Testing involves, control of data received in CD form to find out whether it confirms to the developed standards, and whether the data is financially consistent according to predefined criteria.
