RECENT DEVELOPMENTS CONCERNING RASAT

The X Band communication module, designed and produced entirely by our Institute and to be used for the first time in RASAT, has been subjected to the Engineering Model qualification level environmental tests and successfully passed the vibration test and the thermal vacuum test.

GEZGİN-2, designed and produced again entirely by our Institute, also completed its vibration test whereas the thermal vacuum test still proceeds. Module production for the RASAT Flight Model has already started. Most work-orders have been issued and the production continues in high tempo. The Request for Proposal for launch service procurement has been sent to all potential tenderers and the tender date has been announced March 16th, 2009.
